Your Dedicated Veterinarians

Golf Course Veterinary Hospital has been offering outstanding animal care in Taree since early 1980s. Originally started by Bruce Young, then taken over by Colin Dry in 1990 who operated until 2020 when Paul Pitney took the reins. Paul is familiar to many animal owners in the area, having worked locally both in the late 1990s and since early 2015.

We care for all kinds of companion animals and offer a wide range of services. Our dedicated and caring team of professionals offer a vast array of experience and expertise—making us the one of the longest operating veterinary hospitals in the local area. We offer a complete care portfolio. We look forward to welcoming your pet to our family.

If the hospital is closed

When you call 02 65526022 after hours, you will hear a recorded message giving you the option to have your call transferred to a VetCheck 24/7 triage nurse. The VetCheck Triage Nurse will help you decide if your pets problem can wait until the hospital is open again, and they will guide you regarding what to do if the problem cannot wait. Emergencies needing attention will be directed to our on-call vet or the Animal Referral & Emergency Centre in Newcastle (https://arecvet.com.au/) . You can find out more about VetCheck 24/7 by going to https://vetcheck247.com/

We thank you for understanding that our emergency on-call vet does this work in addition to their daily “in hours” work. Please only call our emergency on-call vet about medical emergencies. Additional after hours charges apply.
