Why do dogs and cats need to be vaccinated?

There are a number of highly infectious viruses that can be readily spread from animal to animal either by close contact or even in the environment. Some of these viruses are highly fatal, with Parvovirus being the major concern.
When do dogs and cats need to be vaccinated?

Vaccination for both puppies and kittens should commence at 6 weeks of age, with 3 vaccinations given between then and 4 months of age. After this a booster program is recommended.
When should I desex my pet?

Generally 6 months of age is recommended for both male and female dogs and cats. Although this may vary with breed. Please discuss the most suitable time for your pet with us.
When should I start training my puppy?

Straight away as up to 4 months of age is their most critical learning time. Enrolling in a puppy school is an excellent way to help achieve this.
